I have heavily invested in 3d printing this season. I feel the need to justify the cost by printing more things. Time to organize my drawers and cabinets. There seem to be a lot of choices in that area.
This is my first attempt at soldering switches into a keyboard…in fact, haven’t tried to solder anything since college. I also didn’t like the open board, so tried to 3d print one…from a template…needs refining, but good enough for now.
Have to apologize to Nick Simson. He was having more issues than he should have with the webmentions plugin. Turns out that the Block Editor was hiding the option I kept expecting to be there. Will have to come up with a solution for that.
Does anyone do self-assessments of how they’d quarantine people they share a living space with if they got sick? Doing one of these for family members, sort of like a drill to see how easy it would be to isolate someone. So far, identified several action items.
Wrote a post on Gadget Wisdom(where I’ve been writing tech stuff) on the subject of keys on my keyboard I don’t really find much use for, and might want to repurpose. Curious what other people think of these keys.
I disabled the PostKinds WordPress plugin, created by David Shanske. I stopped using it 3 years ago for new postings but disabling it then would have broken many older postings.
What makes the plugin useful is that it allows you to turn postings into different, well, kinds of posts. Such as a reply,…
I wish you’d said something. I have considered writing a migration tool to render the properties and save them in content if someone wanted to disable it, but being as I wasn’t leaving, it wasn’t a priority for me, but would have given it a quick shot if someone needed it. I hate to think people feel locked in.
Beyond that, not supporting the block editor is a choice, I know. Have some long term compromise thoughts on that, but…nothing has moved much.

Reprogrammed this QMK Via keyboard to work as a Dvorak keyboard and used some XDA profile keycaps to make it visible. I feel like for this to be effective I need to become a touch typist.Been moving a bunch of sites to a new server. I don’t migrate servers very often, and I’ve been pushing off this upgrade for almost two years. But, now that I’m in mid upgrade, I want to get it done before I have to pay for two different services. Doing a few sites every few days.
I’m reprogramming a keyboard and rearranging the keys to a Dvorak layout. Anyone enjoying an alternate keyboard layout?
My test pairs of Danish Endurance socks did not endure. Why am I having so much trouble finding a good brand of socks that has extended sizes and lasts more than a short period? Recommendations anyone?
My high school reunion is coming up. I remain uncertain about going. Do I want to see people who, for the most part, cut ties after high school? Then I found out, in different rooms in the same venue space, the school is having 60th, 50th, 45th, 40th, 35th, 30th, 25th, 20th, 10th, and 5th reunions. That’s a lot of alumni in one place. Oddly, the 65th, 70th, and 75th get the day before. Wondering if it is worth revisiting the past.
