Etiquette question: You are sitting at a table in a public place, reading quietly and drinking a beverage. At the adjoining table is an individual watching a video, volume turned all the way up, and no headphones. What is the correct course of action?
Beat them to death with a French baguette.
Watch it too. >:-D
@dshanske I’m British, so sigh quietly, shake my head and fume in silence is usually as far as I go. I would like to feel confident enough to ask them to turn the volume down – but with some individuals that would be taken as a personal insult.
Glare, or vulture over their shoulder and binge watch with them.
@dshanske I’m afraid I’d do the same as @Rosemaryorchard
@dshanske Get a bag of popcorn, walk over, sitdown and watch it. When they look at you oddly, explain you just wanted to see what images go with the sounds you can hear from your table.
