Nuremberg Trials

After the war, the Allies couldn't try every German. The Nuremberg Trials tried a cross-section of influential people who were considered to be in key positions in implementing their crimes against humanity. (Click here for video excerpts from Nuremberg: Its Lesson For Today)

The Nazi trials didn't end with the end of the trials in Nuremberg. Several Nazis were caught later and tried. The most famous of which was Adolf Eichmann, who was caught and tried in Israel in 1961. He was the only man ever sentenced to death by the state of Israel. Efforts continue even until this day to find Nazis.
